NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace is a 5 star hotel with a great location and an awarded restaurant on site. Right next to Amsterdam Central train station and close to museums and shops. In less than 10 minutes you can walk to Dam Square. The building dates back to the 17th century. Its 274 rooms combine classic decor with plenty of space.

There are 10 meeting rooms – and a real highlight, whether it’s for a corporate event or a celebration, is the 15th-century chapel, St Olofs Chapel. An exquisite setting to host an unforgettable event, the oldest chapel in Amsterdam dates back to the 15th century, which belongs to NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace, and can host up to 520 guests. The chapel can be entered via our hotel lobby, but also has a private entrance at street level. Thanks to this entrance, you can arrange an exclusive private welcome for your guests. The dedicated event planners will assist you in creating your perfect event. The other 12 meeting rooms are very easy to access via the hotel's stylish lobby. All rooms are equiped with ISDN lines, wireless internet and meeting kits with office supplies. The hotel audio-visual department furnishes projectors, screens, video, lightning and sound equipment.

The room types start from Superior category up to Suites and Apartments – the latter have their own kitchens. Many come with a first-class view of Amsterdam’s cityscape. 

The hotel has a fitness room which has got all the basics for a workout, including cardio machines and weights. If you want to explore the city you can get in touch with our Guest Relations Team for tips of places to visit or where to eat. For an unforgettable experience, they can organize boat tours or even special meals on the city’s canals, leaving directly from the boat landing dock next to the hotel.

The world known buffet breakfast is prepared with fresh each morning. It includes a wide variety of fresh fruit juices, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, breads and much more. You can also request hot dishes made to order. The opening time is 6.30 am - 10.30 am (on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 7.00 am - 11.00 am). An earlybird breakfast is also available on request.

In the evening, you can visit the awarded restaurant Vermeer. Chef Chris Naylor provides the taste sensation from his knowledge and expertise and will amaze you. There also is a special wine list. European, French and Meditteranean are served with an a-la-carte menu.
