Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam is located on one of the most famous squares of Amsterdam, namely Dam Square and it is opposite the beautiful Royal Palace. It’s in the middle of the city center and centrally located from both touristic and business related attractions. The hotel is established in a historic building which dates back to 1865. It shows a unique combination of comfort, style and modernity. Within just a few minutes’ walk you will find the famed Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum and the Heineken Brewery.

The hotel is well-known for its large and special venue called the Winter Garden. This area brings the 19th century alive with the outstanding architecture. The Winter Garden can host up to 1500 people in reception setting. The slanted glass roof and light colors makes it looks even larger. In total, there are 17 meeting rooms throughout the hotel, whereof the smallest can hold up 8 people. The hotel has an in-house audiovisual department that can assist you with all AV requests. Other available services are flower service, photographers, concierge, music and entertainment and many more. The event planners will assist you to arrange your unforgettable meeting or event by offering a personal touch to ensure your satisfaction.

Every morning, breakfast is served in the Winter Garden from 6:30am – 11:00am on weekdays. The Grand Café Krasnapolsky offers a unique lunch and dining experience throughout the day. There is a high variety between classical dishes with a modern twist and small dishes and fresh salad. While enjoying your dish, you will be taken back in time by the café its interior and look.

The White Room restaurant is the other restaurant which is very famous in the city center of Amsterdam. This is a one Michelin starred restaurant under the genius of Jacob Jan Boerma which offers you special dishes with influences from all over the world.

With 402 rooms in different categories, from very classical to ultra-modern. Some of the rooms offer a view throughout the Dam Square, this guarantees the ultimate city vibe. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a LED-tv.

You can easily access the hotel by public transport and by car. The bus stop and tram stop is in front of the hotel while Amsterdam Central Station is just a 12-minute walk. The hotel has on-site parking spots to park your car.

Route description

FROM THE AIRPORT

From Schiphol Airport you can catch a train, take a taxi, rent a car, or take the hotel shuttle bus service, which takes you directly to the hotel from the airport. This service runs from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm, and departs every half hour. There is an additional charge for this service, consult the hotel for information and availability.

FROM THE TRAIN STATION

By foot: from the main exit of Amsterdam Central Station, walk straight across the Stationsplein square. At the traffic lights, head straight towards Dam Square. You will see the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky on the left side of the Dam. This walk takes approximately 10 minutes.

By tramway: you can take tram line 4, 9, 16, 20, 24 or 25 at the Central Station and exit at the Dam Square stop. You will see the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky on the left side of the Dam.

BY CAR

From: Zaanstad (A8)/Haarlem
Follow A10 Oost at the Coenplein intersection.
Take exit S116 A’dam Noord/Centrum.
Continue straight ahead through the IJtunnel.
Keep right on the roundabout.
Cross the bridge and turn right.
At the end of this road turn right onto Rokin.
At Dam square, turn right and drive right to the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky.
From: Utrecht (A2)
From the A2 motorway, head towards Centrum.
Cross the bridge and turn right to Amsteldijk.
At the end of this road turn left onto Stadhouderskade.
2nd road turn right (Vijzelgracht).
At the roundabout, continue straight until you reach Munt square.
Follow road to the left (Rokin).
At Dam square, turn right and drive right to the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky.

From: The Hague/Schiphol (A4)
Head towards A’dam Zaanstad.
Follow A10 in the direction of the RAI.
Follow A10 in the direction of Amersfoort.
Take the S112 exit, and at the end turn left towards Centre.
Turn right at the next roundabout.
After 10 traffic lights turn left towards Centre.
Cross the bridge and turn right.
At the end of this road turn right onto Rokin.
At Dam square, turn right and drive right to the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky.

From: Amersfoort/Almere (A1)
At Watergraafsmeer, follow A10 in the direction of Noord/Zaanstad/Purmerend.
Take the Zeeburgertunnel (tunnel), and then take exit S116 A’dam Noord/Centrum.
Continue straight ahead through the IJtunnel.
Keep right on the roundabout.
Cross the bridge and turn right.
At the end of this road turn right onto Rokin.
