Michèle Antoine Schloss Bensberg is a beautiful classic castle with a rich history, which is being very well preserverd by the owner, the Althoff Hotel Group. The hotel rooms were perfect, the ambiance sophisticated as is the personnel. Spa facilities and swimming pool, which are more used by the leisure clients than the business ones! The meeting rooms vary in size and decoration, making it possible to choose the one better adapted to the kind of meeting and the amount of participants. Technical support is available on site. Two little minusses: they have no own à la carte restaurant where to have a quick bite or dinner. The in-house restaurant(Enoteca, independent from the hotel) is so popular with the local population that it is often not possible to book a table on the spot. The hotel then very friendly re-routes you to a local restaurant. The famous restaurant Vendôme, a 3 Michelin Star also located on the premises of the castle is not suitable for a quick dinner, obviously, and has to be reserved wel in advance. Other minus is that they do not have a real business area for the support staff of events. Overall a very impressive location with a beautiful view on Cologne (Keulen), to recommend to the amateurs of classic (meeting) locations. 2,5 hours drive from Amsterdam!
