Meetingselect Personal Experience 2008
On January 31st 2008, Meetingselect organised its first client event at the Holiday Inn Amsterdam Schiphol. Over 160 guests were welcomed with a cocktail which was followed by a delicious buffet dinner. Next to Meetingselect clients such as Canon Europe, Numico and Sanoma Magazines, there were buyers, travel managers, meeting planners and secretaries from companies such as Mitsubishi, Danisco, Dell Computers and JohnsonDiversey.
Travel agents such as Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Schiphol Travel International were also present. Besides participating in interesting workshops such as “The Power of Communication” or “Personal Leadership”, guests could shake cocktails and attend a presentation about Meetingselect. For most hotels, you can immediately read how others have experienced the location. In addition, you can get a lot of information per hotel via Meetingselect and you can also click through to the hotel’s website directly, which is not always as easy to find through Google or other search engines.
It is also good that you can find good quality hotels in countries such as Moldavia, Azerbaijan, Russia, the Ukraine and that you can read other people’s opinions about the hotels in that country.
I will definitely keep on using Meetingselect in the future so that I can keep a clear overview of all bookings, can find them all back and even see what price agreements we had in the past. At the beginning, it was a bit of figuring out how it all works but now I can really find my way round the system! |

From March 2008, ‘renewed rooms’ at Grand Hotel Karel V
The hotel expansion of Grand Hotel Karel V kicked off last summer. The Roman wing has undergone a beautiful metamorphosis, with part of it entirely renewed; it will be completed this month.

The hotel will be extended with a new building containing, among other things, unique split-level rooms. The showpiece will be a compact and complete wellness and fitness centre. From October 2008, the Grand Hotel Karel V will have 121 rooms of different types, varying in size from 26 m² to 50 m². All rooms will also be equipped with new flat screen TVs with a video & music on demand system and a free ADSL connection.
