In 2021 Meetingselect received the Ecovadis Silver certification, this places us in the top 4% of over 50,000 suppliers audited by EcovadisMeetingselect remains an independent and trusted company with complete and transparent cooperation with conference venues and hotels, ensuring that care for the environment and profitability by ethical and sustainable standards go well together. Carbon footprint calculator

Meetingselect introduced a carbon footprint calculator that is implemented in the booking platform. It calculated its carbon footprint for all the overnight locations and presented it in a form of per guest night in kg carbon. (more information about the variables which are included in the calculation must be added)

Hotels for Trees

As a healthy company, Meetingselect continuously develops initiatives with customers and partners that contribute to a better world.One of the examples for more sustainable meetings is that Meetingselect participates in Hotels for trees. This is to minimize the impact on the environment and to compensate for it wherever possible. They encourage our clients to take climate compensating measures, and give meeting planners the opportunity to select sustainable hotels and meeting venues. Another initiative is HD venues. With HD venues companies can facilitate online and hybrid events. Among other things, the platform allows you, without investing in expensive studio equipment and technical knowledge, to live-stream presentations and workshops, among other things.

MVO task force within Meetingselect

Since April 2021 Meetingselect joined MVO Nederland and has been working on multiple CSR projects within the company. There is a MVO task force within our company that is working on improving our own position and improving our own CSR, but this task force is also busy with making venues and clients enthusiastic to improve their CSR. We are currently busy with setting up collaborations with PSO Nederland, Handicap, ToGoodToGo, HotelsforTrees and Ongehinderd.

Social return is meant to help existing jobs, not replace them by giving people with disadvantages the opportunity to work.At Meetingselect, we want our services, facilities, and resources to be accessible and useful to every citizen regardless of individual characteristics which may unfairly affect a person’s opportunities in life. we, therefore, looked into our social return activities, which reached 9% in 2021.

Collaboration with Ctalents

Meetingselect has multiple target groups with their approach and planning. One of the target groups is Training/workplaces (BOL -professional training path) This target group fits in well with Meetingselect as a growing company to train people and offer them a job after completion of a training period. Meetingselect is a recognized learning company by SBB and offers 15 full-time internships in the reservations, sales, IT, HR, and administration departments through various recruitment channels.The second Target group is the Unemployment Act (WSW). Meetingselect has started a collaboration with Ctalents and has hired two employees with autism in its own IT department. During the contract period, we deploy these employees full-time for the IT department and IT activities. The collaboration with Ctalents is so successful that we are in talks to hire two additional employees for the Marketing and Sales department in 2022.

Handicap.nl is a member of the Meetingselect CSR Taskforce.
